use the Internet and Office programs free of charge, printing 0,20 euro per sheet (black & white printing only)
read newspapers, magazines (in Finnish only) and books
listen to music
use the photocopying machine (black & white copying only) for 0,40 euro/A4, 0,80/A3 copies
see changing arts and crafts exhibitions free of charge
HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD
show an identity card that has Your photograph
give Your address
promise to comply with the rules of the library
if You are under 15, you'll need a written consent signed by a parent or a guardian
first card is free of charge
Hankasalmi main library is pictured in our library card.
library card is only for personal use
the owner of the card is responsible for all items borrowed with his/her card
if Your card gets lost, report it immediately to the library

Returning
You may return Your loans to any branch of Hankasalmi library
when the library is closed, You can return your loans in a drop box marked with the text PALAUTUKSET or PALAUTUSLAATIKKO
You can also order books and other materials
from other library branches in Hankasalmi.
Renewing
when renewing Your loans over the Internet or at the customer terminal You need a PIN-code attached to Your library card
loans can be renewed up to five times without bringing the materials to the library
You can't renew loans for items that are reserved by another customer
mail charge for reminder notice: 1 EUR/reminder
overdue fines: 0,50 EUR/item/week (max 4 EUR/item) payable 8 days after the due date
replacement library card (if Your old card is lost or damaged): 2 EUR
1 EUR/item for a reservation
if Your overdue fines exceed 10 EUR Your borrowing rights are suspended until the fines are paid
